“Instead of trying to build a brick wall, lay a brick every day. Eventually, you’ll look up, and you’ll have a brick wall.” Nipsey Hussle
I am currently in the process of working on side hustles. In my last post I discussed the financial perils that my generation known as the “Millennials” also known as Generation people born in 1981-1996. Each day I am learning new information and how to apply it. The path to wealth involves re-framing your mindset, research, seek mentor-ship, invest in yourself, and be willingly to take action.
If you are currently working on a 9-5. There is nothing wrong with that but if you do not want to do that permanently. Then I would suggest that you reinvent yourself and take risk. Write down your thoughts in a notebook. In this notebook write positive affirmations, write down your goals, and day by day start finding ways to execute them.
If you have a desire to become an entrepreneur then I would say in this digital era the possibilities are endless. So I am going to list my top side hustle choices for 2020.
Affiliate Marketing: This performance based marketing in which a business rewards one or more affiliates for each visitor or customer brought by the affiliate’s own marketing efforts. Affiliate marketing is a form of training it teaches an individual how to sell. You cannot be sold until you sell.
Copy writing: Writing text for the purpose of advertising or other forms of marketing. This is also known as “copy” is written content that enhances brand awareness also another tool of to persuade customers to take action.
Sell Courses: This is a popular tool many people use to produce income as a side hustle. As we all know people are willing to pay experts. We see this in higher education. Initially college professors are selling courses to students and they receive income from the student’s tuition. You can create a course about anything how to cook certain recipe, how to lose weight, how to write a thesis, etc. You can sell courses on Gumroad or E-Junkie.
Investing: Investing is the way in which one can expand with the expectation of achieving a profit or material result by putting it into financial schemes, shares, and property. One website I recommend to start an investment portfolio with is Invest Republic. This site allows investors to invest money in start up companies. You can also withdraw your investment at any time and be refunded.
E-Commerce- Commercial transactions conducted electronically on the internet. Amazon is the best example of e-commerce because it is the most successful e-commerce platform. Even though your name is not Jeff Bezos. You can get started with e-commerce through Shopify and Woo commerce.
Webinars: A presentation, lecture, workshop, or seminar that is transmitted over the web using video conferencing software. The most popular way to create webinars is to use Zoom. Zoom is great website because you can host webinars and lectures. You can also use Zoom to communicate with your clients and staff. I currently use Zoom to communicate with my consulting coach. All you have to do is use a good email address and a solid password and you are all set.
If you are wiling to invest in yourself and begin your journey as an entrepreneur. I recommend the side hustles I mentioned in this blog post. Some would argue that these markets are saturated but that is a good thing because you want to model success. Success leaves clues.
