The tasks of a virtual assistant include making phone calls, answering direct messages on social media, answering or sending emails, and making travel arrangements. The great thing about virtual assistants is that they are in high demand. There is a new generation of entrepreneurs that own and operate online businesses. They usually do not desire to spend extra money an office space and additional staff. This presents the demand for virtual assistants.

The pay scale for virtual assistants is different depending the skill set, work demand, and hours. But generally one can make anywhere between $15-$30 per hour. Some virtual assistants also make $40-$75 per hour for higher level marketing or financial tasks.
